When war, conflict, natural disasters or extreme poverty strike, families can suddenly be left without food, clean water and other basic necessities. Through our food and emergency aid programme, we support people facing urgent and difficult circumstances.
In cooperation with trusted local organisations, we assess the needs and work to reach particularly vulnerable families. These may include widows, orphaned children, elderly people, people with disabilities and displaced families.
Depending on the situation, the assistance may include:
- Food parcels containing essential items
- Hot food and prepared meals
- Safe drinking water
- Infant formula, nappies and essential baby supplies
- Hygiene items and necessary medical products
